What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a relationship between an employer and employee
during which the worker or apprentice learn a trade. The
training lasts a specified length of time. An apprenticeship
covers all aspects
of the trade and includes both on-the-job training and related
instruction.
Where does one apply for apprenticeship?
An application may be obtained from the employer, local labor unions
for the trade desired, or a joint apprenticeship committee member.
